I apologize again for being MIA that last few months. Sometimes life just gets the best of us I guess. Thankfully though, work is finally slowing down and I’m slowly getting my act together after the wedding and I have a bit more time for the blog again. Wooooo! So let’s get to it shall we.
It’s All About That…Slouch?
Today, I have one of my favorite beanies to share with you. I stumbled upon the pattern on Etsy from The Lazy Hobby Hopper while bored one night and decided to purchase it. It probably chilled on my iPad for a good month before I finally started to make one AND OMG! I honestly probably made about 5-6 of these bad boys in different colors and have been wearing them ever since.
Confession: I don’t have a HUGE head, but it’s decent sized enough that I struggle keeping slouchy beanies on my head, especially if I have my hair down. This slouchy beanie is AMAZING! It fits great, it’s not itchy and falls exactly where I like it to. I’m not constantly having to pull it back onto the top of my head and IT’S SUPER EASY & QUICK TO MAKE!

Name: Chocolate Slouchy Hat
Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate
Pattern Made & Sold By: The Lazy Hobby Hopper
Time to Make: Approx. 2-3 Hours (per hat)
Watched/Listened To: Naruto: Shippuden, Season 2 + 3
Materials That I Used:
– Worsted or medium weight yarn (I loved using Caron Simply Soft Yarn for these hats.)
– H/5.0mm Crochet Hook
– I/5.5mm Crochet Hook
Size & Fit:
Using Caron’s Simply Soft yarn, the beanie turns out a little stretchy with use I’ve noticed.
Circumference was around 21-22 inches and the length was approx. 9.5 to 10 inches after I finished.

A few months ago I traveled to Denver, Colorado to meet with a clients and to attend the SIA Snow Demo as part of Outdoor Retailer and I brought the navy blue version (pictured below) along with me. While we were there we were doing a photoshoot for a phone case company called SEIDIO featuring a couple skiing out on Copper Mountain. My boss snagged it and had the female model wear it in some of the photos. Super stoked about that! (See images below)

If interested in making this awesome slouchy beanie (which you should be honestly), you can buy the pattern HERE.

I’m working on making up some extras of these bad boys that I will hopefully have for sale on the ETSY SHOP soon, so check frequently if interested! Also, tag me in your project photos on INSTAGRAM with #YarnTaleCollective.
(Note: All proceeds that I make from my Etsy shop goes towards keeping this blog running, materials to make more products and anything after that goes to helping me pay off my student loans because college screws you over like that, am I right?)
Talk Again Soon, Cheers!
